Dei-Media, LLC was launched in 2007 by the prestigious law firm of Ice Miller, Ltd. to support new media and publicity rights of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and complementary Intellectual Property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation. Dei-Media is committed to building a better society through protected brands.
Deborah Paule negotiated media contracts in the arts and entertainment industry for Paramount Pictures, Viacom, CBS TV City, and Twentieth Century Fox, and later worked as Chief Information Officer for the largest wholly owned Black media company in the world, Johnson Publishing Company, Inc., in Chicago, Illinois.
Dei-Media, LLC has provided Strategic Media services and Publicity for assignments in several key countries across the world including Brazil, China, and South Africa. The largest yielding project to date for Dei-Media, LLC is the 1619: Searching for Answers project with USA Today, working alongside their Publisher, the Editor-in-Chief, their East/West Coast Bureau Chiefs, and their team of more than 10 journalists. This project garnered over $3 million in “earned media” feature stories for the State of Virginia, an Emmy Award-winning short film, a Pulitzer Prize nomination, over 1.3 billion unique global visitors, plus over 1,300 feature stories throughout the Gannett News local media network.
BIO: DEBORAH PAULE MORTON, MSC, LL.M.
Deborah Paule Morton specializes in IP Law Rights of Publicity and IoT. She holds a master’s degree in law from Indiana University McKinney School of Law, studied IP Law in China at Remnin University and graduated from Northwestern University with a Master of Science in Communication, specifically Internet management. She speaks regularly on topics of consumer data privacy rights and protection and IP management solutions. Deborah Paule actively advocates for the creation and protection of IP as a commercial asset for mega-churches and faith-based organizations.
Deborah Paule has served on the United Way of Central Indiana’s Campaign Committee, a member of Rotary Club International, provides support and networking for Women in IP and a member of the The International Association of Privacy Professionals. An aesthete lover of music and the arts, Deborah Paule spends her leisure time with family and friends in museums, theaters, and concert halls.
At Dei-Media, she leads a team of experienced professionals who are responsible for all trademark, copyright, licensing, and domain name work.
